Huff why was it cancelled

Showtime then mounted a very impressive Emmy campaign for the series, mailing out the entire first season to TV Academy members. The gamut paid off, with the show scoring a surprising seven Emmy nominations last year, and resulting in a win for Blythe Danner, in her acclaimed role as Azaria's mother. I hope they atleast give us a season 2 dvd. They could atleast give us a 2 hour finale to wrap up the series after season 2. What a crock of S What's the point in even airing the season finale if they aren't going to follow up on it??? This is stupid. How can they just pull a show off the air in mid-storyline? They should at least give them a chance to wrap things up first - a few courtesy episodes or something. Huff's my favorite show.

I'm despondent. I realize it's naive to think that the studios give a rats back if we viewers are let down. Cancelled one day, final episode 3 days later. No resolution, wrapup, or obligatory happy ending, even. For that I guess I am grateful. I'm sure each episode was very expensive to produce, but I agree with the 2 hour finale suggestion. They had to have suspected they weren't going to renew long, long before May Sweeps. So they might have gone somewhat overbudget on a 2 hour finale. I suspect I'm not the only viewer they'll lose over this.

Lost revenue will undoubtedly exceed the 2 hour goodwill expenditure. It's doubly hard to win a customer back than it is to keep her in the first place. Showtime just lost me for the last time.
