Volkswagen pzev what is it

FastDish answered 7 years ago. Thank you for your answer. I've never owned a VW before except for an old beetle a long time ago. I have always heard they are more expensive to maintain and repair than a Toyota or Honda. The 's look pretty nice though. When the recommended scheduled maintenance items for the VWs are adhered to religiously, they are every bit as reliable as the Japanese cars. VWs also carry with them a heritage of engineering and innovation second to none.

Additionally, they are one of the few car manufacturers today that produce vehicles that are as comfortable for me at 6'5" as they are for my wife at 5'0".

Engineering complexity has increased in all manufacturers products Primary drivers for cost of ownership now are warranties, fuel economy, and resale value. Adrian answered 6 years ago. Has anyone looked into Subaru??? They have pzev and lower cost of maintenance I would say we have to be very careful about PZEV vehicles , it still heat engine with an co2 emission.

PZEV still use fossil fuel gas with the heat engine its very misleading the label Partial zero emission vehicles. Guru1JFFV answered 2 years ago. Electricity is free! No carbon emissions!!!!! PZEV Vehicles. Thread starter ChiGuyGolf2.

I don't recall them mentioning this to me when I bought it brand new at the dealer. So I have some questions for you guys regarding this. Is PZEV basically an added warranty? Are all Golf 2. Is there extra hardware for a PZEV vs. As stated, more and more places are adopting PZEV when being sold in certain states. Main reason is to reduce pollution in more heavily populated areas ie. So I did a little more researching and found this thread over at vwvortex.

Here's California's definition: "A partial zero emissions vehicle, in the United States, is an automobile that has zero evaporative emissions from its fuel system, has a year or at least ,mile warranty on its emission-control components, and meets SULEV tailpipe-emission standards. This one is a throwaway. Maybe ten cars out of , will actually wind up back at a car dealership for emissions repairs after the basic warranty runs out. That's front-pocket money for an automobile manufacturer.

I could actually pay out of the change dish on my dresser for every car that had , mikes on it and went to the dealer to get the emissions system repaired. Actuaries having lunch with advertising agency reps dreamed up this one. It is as Voodoo economics at its best. What does the button with the car door open mean?. Its next to the dome lights above by the sunroof. It's for a volkswagon jetta. Said car was still running, they want dollars for it. I'm wanting to know just how involved this will be.
